I should tell you that when my husband and I talked about what we most enjoyed on our long weekend trip to NYC, we both picked the same three things. Lunch at Jean Georges Nougatine. Getting to see "A Steady Rain" with Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig. And going on your walking tour of Greenwich Village! The weather was exquiste and your stories were fascinating. We'll always remember your history tour.

I had always wanted to hear you lecture. I am an alumni of NYU and you were famous then. I was not disappointed at your lecture on the Notorious Women of Greenwich Village. You spoke about a wide range of people and events that lived/occured right near by but are very little spoken about in context. You held your own with difficult questions on obscure parts of history and illuminated your answers with amazing detail. I wrote all this on the comment sheet and requested a bigger hall for you to speak in next time.

I have been meaning to email for some time to give you some feedback about the (public) walking tour you guided through Harlem back on May 3. My friend and I enjoyed it very much and found it the best tour we attended whilst in the US. We would definitely highly recommend your tours to any of our friends headed to New York. I particularly liked your willingness to field questions of a general nature - as a first time visitor to New York, this was very helpful.
Also, on your recommendation, I read Erik Larson's "Devil in the White City" and loved it so much I've also read "Isaac's Storm" and "Thunderstruck" by the same author.
